Giới thiệu
Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit là bộ công cụ bảo mật lỗ hổng trên trình duyệt Internet Explorer.
Thực tế, Microsoft đã từng được cảnh báo về lỗ hổng mới ở IE có thể giúp những kẻ tấn công khai thác và nắm quyền kiểm soát máy tính của người dùng.
Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit, hay còn gọi là EMET, chính là giải pháp tạm thời để ngăn chặn lỗi này trước khi Microsoft có bản vá chính thức.
Bộ công cụ này sẽ giúp ngăn chặn các lỗ hổng bảo mật không bị khai thác. Chức năng này được thực hiện bằng cách triển khai các công nghệ vá bảo mật khác nhau. Điều này thực sự hữu ích khi áp dụng không chỉ với những ứng dụng đã cũ có nhiều lỗ hổng bảo mật mà còn hoạt động với những ứng dụng mới. Tính dễ sử dụng và khả năng cấu hình cao giúp EMET trở thành công cụ quý giá. Người dùng chỉ cần chú ý rằng một số quá trình có thể gặp lỗi khi áp dụng một vài bản vá bảo mật, vì vậy hãy kiểm tra xem phần mềm của bạn hoạt động tốt không sau khi áp dụng bản vá. Bạn cũng nên chú ý không cần phải giữ cho phần mềm chính hoạt động khi bảo vệ ứng dụng.
Bên cạnh việc sử dụng Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit, Microsoft còn khuyến cáo người dùng nên điều chỉnh các thiết lập bảo mật trên Windows để ngăn chặn khả năng bị tấn công, dù làm như vậy thì có thể gây ảnh hưởng tới khả năng sử dụng máy tính.
Lưu ý: lỗ hổng này không ảnh hưởng tới trình duyệt IE 10.
Cập nhật trong phiên bản mới:
- Cập nhật thêm profile bảo vệ mặc định mới, thêm quy tắc Certificate Trust và thêm tùy chỉnh Group Policy Object.
- Hỗ trợ môi trường máy tính chia sẻ từ xa trên các Windows server cài đặt EMET.
- Cơ chế ghi nhật ký hoạt động của Windows Event cho phép báo cáo chính xác hơn trong trường hợp nhiều người dùng.
- Xử lý một số cải tiến ứng dụng tương thích và lỗi báo cáo giả.
